List kab aur kaise aati hai?
The Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha issues the next year's holidays as a notification in the Jharkhand Gazette (Extraordinary), usually in December. It carries three schedules — NI Act holidays, executive-order holidays and the bank closing day.
Hindu festival dates follow the tithi; Adivasi festivals such as Sarhul and Karma follow the lunar month; Sohrai (January) follows the Santhal Pargana tradition; and anniversaries such as Hul Diwas (30 June) and Birsa Munda Jayanti (15 November) follow the Gregorian date.
